Sometimes referred to as reserve brandy, V.S.O.P. (Very Special Old Pale) brandies have spent at least 4 years aging in a cask. The extra two years of aging beyond the V.S give V.S.O.P. brandies a tamer temperament, more amenable to being sipped neat.
